The Obama Effect

obama-smilingIn a recent segment on ESPN Sports show, Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers was an interview with the reporter of the issue. When hours of injury, the host of Studio M. Iguodala asked, “Why did not you interview? It is so cold, and you’re not even a hat.” Iguodala said, “Hey, that is, as its president, Obama, he – in the cold without a hat. I step.”

Iguodala then mentioned how he was President of Obama, and that in his hometown (ironically, Springfield, Illinois), the test results for black men have since President Obama was about Office.

The ad hoc reactions interview black athletes are not a testament to Barack Obama impact on the black community. However, it recalls a state of mind – at least in some sections. For example, I now a number of e-mails of people closing their opening days. Everyone was optimistic and was sufficient to rely on the Americans, on this occasion the first time she had never seen his father cry. In the same, in vain, hairdressing companies report a resurgence of “Caesar” cut Obama argues that, although it is now called an “Obama”. There is even a comic book full of humor make the turn, than speculating about 5 years now, the first day of school in the black community have many children with names like “Obamalita Jackson” and “Obama Taylor “, to name a few.

I am very clearly, clearly the appearance of President Obama has a positive influence on the atmosphere in the Black Community. A cynic might say rightly, that good feeling that you can so far, but I think the cynics on the note.

One of the most important issues in the black community is the presence of negative stereotypes and news. I am not Big News Watcher, but if I sample, there is an excess of my people are treated as criminals or victims of crime. Again, there are “good” stories, but these stories are far exceeded by the destructive and painful history I have already mentioned. Without fear of contradiction, I can say that the presidency Barack Obama, the texture of the night for the next four (hopefully eight) years. Night after night, the message is about a black man, who is also the powerful and influential person in the world. In the pursuit of the impact that this will be next, I can imagine, is the Muhammad Ali effect on young black boys like me in the 1970s. Ali was high, and said, without apology. It was black, he was proud, but more importantly, he was a man of his time.

Now, Barack Obama is not against it, unplug the stamp of the man, Ali, but it does not, he is the president of the United States of America. When he speaks, whatever the magnitude or intensity, people have no other choice but to listen. Like Ali affects people like me that we can be proud of who I am and not to take blows, President Obama raises an image of dignity and grace under pressure. In addition, he is a man of his time for the rampant in these days, see a black man has a quiet strength, day by day and night to night is the period during the courtesy and decency to a greater concentration in our municipalities. See a black man to express his anger with dignity and without swear people in situations of pressure is positive, I look forward to your visit.

Again, cynics will see little to no value in each. But the parents of a child in the city center or the Burbs knows the value implied. The school provides that official aid on young black children heckled sets of prizes for scientific excellence knows the intrinsic value of the President and First Lady Obama.

Now this is not to say that cynics do not have a point to make. It is a large part of the blind devotion, heroes of President Obama, and the fact that he is the president of all the United States, by definition, means that some of its decisions can not pleasant for us. If the item is particularly difficult and it needs the prior permission of points, it can also decide on the “Bill Cosby” The debt position of the low income, the black man for some of the problems they face. If Obama is incorrect or we with him, we have made. There is no denying that.

As President of the United States is the hardest in the world of work. But like most jobs, the proof is in the pudding. If the president Barack Obama is able, for the U.S. economy and to solve the handful of supporters of the policy, it is considered an excellent President. A Black Man demonstrates excellence on a daily basis, in the highest in the country, strengthening our ambitions, and equally important, it is easy stereotypes of the black man, much more to infect the American society. If a cynic can not see, that the ambitions of the erosion and reinforce stereotypes have an impact on the black community, then I have just one question: What impact would have a McCain-chair of our community?
